Our first BRB Faith Based Doula Training was such a success and blessing that we have decided to move ahead with another 3 day, in-person training in Spring 2024!

OVERVIEW AND MISSION:

Beloved Roots Birth LLC is committed to supporting women emotionally, informationally, spiritually and physically throughout their pregnancy, birth and postpartum period. 

It is our goal to not only provide clients with the tools and support to experience an empowering birth, but most importantly guide them in growing their relationship with the Lord during this transformative season.

At present, the birth community is extremely lacking in true, autonomous, faith-based doula/birth worker training organizations. 

Many strictly teach doulas how to create “good patients” and monetize the doula profession, all while incorporating philosophies, ideologies and concepts that do not align with a Biblical worldview.

The goal of this training is to equip the next generation of birth workers to support and walk alongside women in their childbearing season of life, while also creating a community of like minded sisters that will hold each other up and be the hands and feet. 

Core Values:

1. Birth belongs to women and women alone.

2. God created the physiological birth process and therefore it can be trusted.

3. We support complete autonomy of the mother and view informed consent as paramount.

4. We view our relationship with our clients as one of equal collaboration, not a hierarchy. 

5. Birth is as much a spiritual transformation as it is a physiological process.

6. Prayer, scripture and leaning on the Lord’s strength are all crucial aspects in surrendering and trusting the birth process. 

7. We do not submit to coercion, manipulation or fear-based practices when interacting with care providers who are practicing in such a way. 

8. We advocate FOR and WITH our clients. 

9. We believe the power of choice lies in the hands of the parents and that it is not to be given away or outsourced to any person or entity, other than God himself. 

10. We value the importance of holistic care and view each client as a whole person: mind, body, spirit. 

11. We hold the value of community in high regard and thus acknowledge the imperative need to have a sisterhood of women and mentors to walk with on the journey of motherhood.

We share resources, experiences and support one another, practically and spiritually. 

We also continue growing in knowledge to better support the families we are called to serve by offering on-going workshops (that are also open to the public).
